How Hen n' Bun handles the information you give us when you order. Written to be read, not to be scrolled past.
What we collect
When you place an order, Hen n' Bun collects the name you give, your phone number, and the details of what you ordered, including any notes or allergy information you add. A phone number is needed because an order that goes wrong is chased by phone.
For delivery orders, your delivery address and any instructions you add are collected as well. They are used to bring you your food and are kept with the order.
If you create an account, your email address is stored along with your name and, if you give one, your phone number. Your password is never stored. What is kept is a scrambled version that cannot be turned back into your password, so nobody β including staff β can read it or reuse it elsewhere.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site. The only cookies we set are the ones that make it work: one that remembers what is in your basket, and β if you sign in β one that keeps you signed in. They cannot be used to follow you to other websites.
We do not build a profile of you for marketing, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you have asked us to.
Who else sees it
Payments are handled by Stripe, a payment processor. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our systems β we are told only whether the payment succeeded, and the last few digits of the card so you can recognise the order. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy.
"Continue with Google" asks Google to confirm who you are. We never see your Google password. Google tells us your email address and name and nothing more, and only when you choose that option.
The map showing where we are is embedded from Google Maps. Loading the page loads that map from Google, which means Google can see that a visit happened, the same as on any site with a map.
Staff receive a notification when an order arrives. It carries the order number and nothing that identifies you.
Other than the above, your information stays with the restaurant. We do not pass it to anyone else unless we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Orders are kept as business records β a restaurant needs them for its accounts, for tax, and to sort out anything that goes wrong with an order later.
If you have an account, it is kept until you ask us to delete it. Signing out ends your session but does not delete anything.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to contact@hen-bun.com and we will deal with it.
One limit worth being upfront about: we may have to keep the record of an order you have already placed, even after deleting your account, because it is part of the restaurant's accounts.
You can order without creating an account. An account only saves you retyping things.
Children
This site is for ordering food and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

This notice describes what this website actually does with your information. It is not legal advice, and depending on where the restaurant operates there may be further wording it is required to include.
